1. Clean and renewable energy
The wind is always blowing somewhere, making it an inexhaustible source of energy. Wind turbines do not pollute the air or emit harmful gases. This helps preserve the values of our environment, offsets the negative impacts of climate change, and ensures cleaner air and a more liveable tomorrow for present and future generations alike.

  2. Less foreign energy, greater security
If there are more wind farms operating in Hungary, we will need to buy less electricity or natural gas from other countries. This makes the energy supply more secure and also strengthens the Hungarian economy.

  3. It benefits local communities
Local communities also benefit from wind farm investments: where wind turbines are built, the local government can receive more tax revenue, landowners receive rent, jobs are created, and the local skilled workforce gains access to new types of employment opportunities.

  4. Cheap and reliable electricity in the long term
Today’s wind turbines are already very efficient. They have low maintenance costs and a long service life, and can generate electricity for up to thirty years. The “fuel” needed for their operation, wind, is environmentally-friendly, renewable and available in almost infinite quantities, meaning the energy produced is also environmentally-friendly and renewable, and can be generated and sold more cheaply in the long term.

  5. Environmentally-friendly solution
Wind turbines take up little space, so the agricultural land used for their installation can continue to be cultivated almost in its entirety. They operate quietly and are not dangerous. They are installed with the utmost care to ensure that they disturb people living nearby, nature and the environment as little as possible.
