TÚRKEVER SOLAR POWER PLANT
We implemented the Túrkeve solar power plant, which falls under the KÁT scheme and was commissioned in 2023, on saline, waterlogged land that was only of limited suitability for agricultural cultivation. In the course of the investment, we made the site suitable for development using targeted drainage solutions, so the project did not take valuable arable land away from other uses.
During construction, we paid particular attention to protecting the natural environment: based on a planting plan agreed with Hortobágy National Park, we carried out protective afforestation using only native species. In addition, we also created tangible value for the local community by building a 1-kilometre road and handing it over to the municipality free of charge.
The project went beyond the implementation of the solar power plant itself: to support the long-term development of the region, we built a 1-kilometre, 132 kV, double-circuit public-purpose transmission line branch, as well as a new 132 kV public-purpose switching station, which we handed over to OPUS-TITÁSZ Zrt. free of charge.
In connection with the development, we also made a significant contribution to the modernisation of the Mezőtúr substation, which was built in the 1950s, creating further connection opportunities for producers and users and strengthening the security of the region’s electricity supply.
